About French Press:
The French Press is a great low maintenance method of brewing coffee. It produces a rich, creamy full-bodied cup, and is the best way to achieve maximum CBD extraction. Perfect for brewing multiple cups at once, you can share…or not.

You’ll Need:
Happy Joe’s CBD Grinds for French Press or Whole Bean
Grinder (for whole bean)
French Press
Water
Kettle
Table spoon
Spoon or Utensil for stirring
Scale
Timer

French Press Size: 3-Cup 4-Cup 8-Cup
Coffee: 17 g (2-3 tbsp) 27 g (4-5 tbsp) 54 g (8-10 tbsp)
Water: Approx. 300 g Approx. 455 g Approx. 885 g

Brew Time:
3.5 Minutes

Let’s Brew It:

Step 1
Fill kettle with water and begin to heat. While you are waiting, measure out your coffee, and grind it if necessary. French press calls for a course even grind. Grinds should be roughly the size of course sea-salt.

Step 2
When the kettle is ready, preheat your French press by rinsing it and the plunger with hot water. This will help maintain your brewing temperature. Discard any extra water. Place French press on your scale.
Step 3
Add the coffee grounds to the French press, and give it a shake to level. Tare the scale. Start your timer and slowly begin to pour water into the press using a small circular motion. Add approx. 60 g of water.

Step 4
Give the grounds a gentle stir and let the coffee bloom for 30 seconds.
Step 5
Pour in the remaining water until the scale shows the recommended dosage on the above chart. Place the plunger and lid on top of the press, and let the coffee steep for 3.5 minutes.

Step 6
Remove the French press from the scale and place it on your countertop. Begin to press the plunger down. If it feels like the plunger is hard to press, it means your grind was too fine, so next time you will want to adjust your setting.
Step 7
Once the plunger reaches the grinds, pour the coffee into mugs. Letting the coffee sit in the press can lead to over extraction, and cause the coffee to taste bitter.

Step 8
Serve and enjoy!
